Window Dressings

Vacuum drapes and sheers or hang them outside to freshen
them, or if the weather isn't good put them in the dryer on the air cycle
for 15 minutes (re-hang immediately). Wash curtains if they are washable.

Wash sheers if needed and dust or wash blinds.

Wash windows and open them to air out the room with outside
air when possible.
Walls

Spot clean walls.

Clean framed picture glass.

If a ceiling looks bad enough to be washed, it's time
to repaint.
Floors and/or Carpets

Sweep, Vacuum, or clean floor and baseboards.

Wax floor at least once a year - twice is ideal.

Vacuum edges of carpet using crevice tool.

Wash dirty traffic areas, spot clean rug.
Cabinets/Cupboards

Clean out the clutter. Throw away old "stuff" that
is never used.

Wash each shelf. (Murphy's oil soup is recommended)

Organize neatly.

Clean or wash tops and sides.
Medicine Cabinets
-
Throw away old expired prescription medicines, herbs,
and pills.

Wash each shelf. (Murphy's oil soup is recommended)

Organize neatly.

Drawers
-
Clean out the clutter. Throw away old "stuff" that
is never used.

Wash each drawer. (Murphy's oil soup is recommended)

Reline the drawers if necessary.

Linen Closet

Clean out the clutter. Throw away old linen that
is never used or donate it.

Wash each shelf. (Murphy's oil soup is recommended)

Scrub bathtub, sink and shower.

Wash shower curtain or shower door.

Scrub fixtures and toilets

Take out the trash and change trash liners.
Kitchen and Dining Room
