Know the Law: Anti-Bullying Safety, Legal, and Psychological Information

Knowing the law and your rights can help keep you safe in different situations. For example, bullying can be unlawful harassment, from which people have rights for protection. People experiencing psychological issues have legal and medical rights for privacy and quality health care. Anyone struggling with alcohol or drug abuse issues also has the right to receive health care to overcome the addiction.

    Anti-Bullying and Safety Resources

Bullying can occur in a variety of situations; however, bullying among children is one of the most prevalent types of bullying. Bullying can involve teasing, but it can also escalate to additional interactions that lead to serious psychological and even physical injury. Bullying may occur in face-to-face situations, or it could occur via text messages or social media interactions. Parents can minimize the incidences of bullying by maintaining careful supervision of children and encouraging ongoing communication about issues.

    Psychological Help Resources

Mental health issues are not unusual, and anyone experiencing challenges or difficulties can receive support and assistance to feel better. Privacy and quality of care may be two important concerns for anyone seeking psychological help. Patient rights entitle everyone to compassionate and high quality mental health care, while protecting the privacy of the patient.

    Legal Resources

Issues with alcohol or drug abuse may lead to problems with impaired driving. Impaired driving was responsible for 31 percent of all traffic fatalities that occurred in 2012. The Bill of Rights guarantees that anyone accused of a crime has the right to due process. This means that anyone accused of DUI has the right to counsel and fair proceedings.

Bullycide in America

Many have asked,

"What is Depression?"

Here is a PDF of a chapter

from my book,

"Bullycide in America",

that will give readers an

understanding of this

horrible problem

facing millions of

people every day.

This recording is from an

interview with Pasco School

 District investigators

 concerning the assault on

Jared High.  This is a

recording of a recording

and it isn't real clear,

but worth the download

effort.  Jared had a real

mellow voice.  Note:

If you have a slow load wav,

wait for it to load entirely

and then play from the start.
