When I lost Jared, I had a choice, to become
bitter (against God and the world) or to become better (looking towards
God and making a better world). There is only one letter separating
those two words -
I chose better.
Life is not really measured in time, but it's measured
in "events." We can't always choose what events happens to us in
this life; a death, an accident, or painful events we didn't ask for, but
we can choose what we do after that event happens. If you think about
it, the "event" of just being born was pretty important. With each
step as we grow the the events of our life go forward, and so do our choices
after each event.
I believe we all have a purpose for living on this earth.
If we search for those defining moments, those events in our life that
can make us unique and important, we can all have unlimited spiritual
experiences if we look towards God as we discover what our purpose is.
The keys to growth and building confidence in yourself, (your spiritual
abilities), depends on two things, how you educate yourself and how you
serve others.
I hope the readings in this section will uplift you and
encourage self study and service so you can discover your purpose and know
that you are
A Child of God.
Dear God,
So far, today,
I've done all right. I haven't gossiped or lost my temper.
I haven't been greedy, grumpy, nasty, or self centered. I'm really
happy about that so far. But in a few minutes I'm going to be getting
out of bed and then I'm going to need a lot of help. Thank you!
Amen
